Ohio State is taking a major step forward with the development of a new hospital that, combined with modern educational space, will enhance a unified Ohio State Wexner Medical Center campus providing leading-edge research, outstanding clinical training and world-class patient care. The 1.9 million-square-foot inpatient hospital will be the largest single facilities project ever undertaken at Ohio State with up to 820 beds in private-room settings to elevate patient-centered care, safety and training for the next generation of health care providers. Construction of the unique project is being led by the Walsh-Turner Joint Venture, the Construction Manager.
Coffee and donuts will be provide during check in. The tour will follow shortly after. Due to this being an active construction site, personal protective equipment (PPE) such as Hard Hats, Safety Vests, Safety Glasses and Safety Gloves will be required for those wishing to take a tour. PPE will be provided by the construction team, but please dress appropriate including pants, shirts with sleeves (no tank tops) and closed toed shoes.
Parking (for a fee) is available at the Wexner Medical Center Garage (527 W. 10th Ave). The group will meet on the north side of the 5th floor of the garage to begin the tour.
